Ed has served as lead pastor of Central since March of 2000. A native from Seaboard, NC, he received a  Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary . He and his wife Christy have three children - Daniel (wife Hunter) , T.W., and Hannah Grace,  and one grandchild Nash.

Gayle has been a part of Central her whole life and has worked in various volunteer activities throughout the years. She retired after teaching high school English for 30 years. After serving for two years as Church Secretary, she became the Director of Church Operations in 2022. She and her husband, Lynn, have two daughters, Cheyenne and Mallory.

Matt joined the Central Staff in the summer of 2023 as our Associate Pastor to Kids (birth - 5th grade) and their families. He joins our team with years of experience serving churches in Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia as well as serving overseas with the International Mission Board. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at Liberty University and his Master of Divinity degree in Christian Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Emily have two awesome boys-Ezra and Micah. 

As of June 1, 2021, Rodney Bunch is our Director of Recreation and Community Relations for the Central Sports Academy. Rodney comes to us from quite a diverse background including recent work with NC Emergency Chaplains, Regional Director for Christian Business Men’s Committee, Athletic Director at Vienna (Austria) Christian School, Youth Pastoring and Church Planting. Rodney played baseball and was educated at Appalachian State University (BA Business Management) and more recently received a Masters from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rodney is also a Pickleball Ambassador for Eastern Wake County. Rodney is married to Jane, and they have 3 children: Anneliese, Cacey-Jane and Jacob.   

Jaimie joined the Central team in spring of 2024. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Tennessee after high school. She obtained her B.S in accounting from Carson-Newman University, a small Christian school in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Jaimie moved to North Carolina in 2018 and has been working in church accounting ever since. She and her husband, Michael, were married in 2020 and have two children: Emerson and Waylon. She loves serving in children's ministry in church and teaching young hearts about Jesus! 

Jeff joined the Central staff in June of 2016 as Minister of Worship & Creative Arts. In January 2020 he transitioned to serve as the Director of Central Academy of the Arts. Jeff earned his Mus.B. in Music Education from Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. He has served in various music positions since 1995. He and his wife Corinne have two sons, David and Ben.

Haley joined Central Christian Academy in 2015, initially working with children ranging from Pre-K to School Age. Over time, her role expanded to encompass managing all Marketing, Communications, and IT requirements for Central's campus. Haley is deeply passionate about her mission of building God's Kingdom within the church and community. She finds fulfillment in serving and assisting in guest services, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment.

David joined the Central team as Worship and Groups pastor in June of 2020.  David is a missionary kid from Jamaica and Australia.  He received Jesus as a 15 year old in Kingston, and has been excited about worshipping and following Jesus ever since.  He received his Bachelors degree in Bible and Music from Tennessee Temple University and then finished Masters degree in Christian Education at Temple Baptist Seminary.  His wife Carol sings, speaks and serves by his side, while also loving on their two (soon to be three!) grandchildren who live in the Raleigh area.  David loves to play golf, frisbee golf, soccer, and together they love to take walks, hang out on the porch and tell stories, share good movies & play group games of any type.

Evette has been serving at Central since 2001. She is a 1996 graduate of the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, with a Master of Divinity in Christian Education, and a 1990 graduate of Appalachian State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
She is married to David and they have two sons, David James (wife Samantha)  and Daniel.  Evette enjoys movies, motorcycles, and gummy bears!

Dannie has been full-time Facilities Director since 2007. His job
consists of building maintenance, cleaning, and grounds maintenance. Dannie's daughter, Meredith, her husband, and three children live in Tennessee serving in full time ministry.

Christy joined our staff as Pastoral Administrative Assistant in
November 2011. She currently serves as a Children’s Sunday School Director and serves as a Children’s Leader on Sunday nights. Christy and Ed have three children -Daniel, TW, and Hannah Grace,  and one grandchild Nash.

Robert joined our staff as the Student Pastor in 2018. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013, and received his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2019. Connie joined our staff as Financial Secretary in September 2007.  She has been a member fo the church since June 2007 and is a current member of the F.A.I.T.H.Riders Life Group.  She and her husband, Roland, have four children, Susan, Chris, April, and Naren.

Gina received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and her Master’s in School Administration. Gina has over 10 years of educational experience with the Wake and Johnston County Public School Systems. She taught in various grade levels, acted as advisor to FBLA and other clubs, sat on a large Johnston County SIT (School Improvement Team) and served as a county Special Populations Coordinator in the public school system. Gena comes to us following God’s call, and she is excited about impacting the children in our community through Kingdom education starting with kindergarten this coming year, growing annually to eventually offer K-12th grade education.
